Historical Background
  Under a lot of population and economic pressure, it happens that the change and weakening of the structure and function of families somtimes caused difficulty for particular kinds of children to adjust themselves properly with such circumstances.

These children are orphaned, abandoned, vagrants, misbehaved etc., In order to cope the problems and strengthening the life of these unfortunate children, Banglamung Home for boys was established in 1956, is one unit belonging to the Office of Prevention and Resolution of Woman and Child Trafficking, Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security


Objectives
To provide residential care for boys aged between 7 - 18 years who are in need of care and protection and provision of social service, rehabilitation and educational services to enable the children to be equipped with knowledge and prepare them to become the qualified people in the society.
To protect and develop children who are in family and community.


Services
Full support : it is provided in terms of shelter, food, clothing, medical care and treatment, in case of serious illness, treatment at the hospital shall be arranged.
Facilities for general and vocational education.
Consultative service.
Recreational service.
Necessary services for proper development, physically, mentally and intellectually.
Employment service after discharge or arrangement of proper placement.

Admission
The boys aged between 7 - 18 yeares old.
The orphaned, abandoned, vagrants, the boys from poor or broken families.
Children who under adverse circumstances, can not be looked afer properly by their parent or guardians.
Children with behavior problems.
Children who are referred to this home by governmental and private organization concerned.
